Maplewood Farm

As Derek said in his last post, on Saturday I took Ella to a birthday party at a farm. In fact, it's the only farm left in North Vancouver (probably all of Vancouver really...), and only about 25 minute drive from our house. Maplewood Farm. Funded by the Discrict Parks Department of North Vancouver, and open to the public since 1975, the farm houses over 200 domesic animals including cows, goats, sheep, pigs, and bunnies. With purchaced bird seed for the ducks and daily milking of the cows at 1:15pm, pony rides and interactive billy goat pen- affectionately labled "the goathill gang" there is much fun to be had by all. During one of Ella's pony rides as we passed by the baby cow she said very matter-of-factly, "baby cows get the creamiest milk." Man, that's classic!
